It was all tears and sorrow on Sunday around a park on Ogooluwa Street, in Oke Oshodi area of Bariga, when a woman named Mrs Olubunmi, was reported to have died along with her twin babies during delivery.
According to information gathered, the woman was said to be on her way to visit her husband who worked in that community when she unexpectedly went into Labour.
Some residents were learnt to have made efforts to help her through the process of the delivery but the 35-year old Bunmi gave up the ghost along with her twin babies.
It was learnt that the woman was successfully taken delivery of one of the babies but died during an attempt to see her through the second baby. According to a source at the scene of the incident, the unfortunate death occurred probably due to the absence of an experienced medical practitioner to carry out the delivery.
The Lagos State Ambulance Service we learnt has been duly informed to ensure the removal of the corpse.
Confirming the sad occurrence, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, told journalists that the said corpses had been deposited at the Yaba General hospital
