Despite being diagnosed withCOVID-19, President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, has defiled public health experts’ advice to stage a departure from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he is receiving treatment, to return to the White House.
The president had hinted of his intention to return to the Presidential house saying he feels better even after being advised against such by his doctors.
Trump, speaking to his followers on his social media page, told them the virus that dangerously deprived him of oxygen and hospitalized him for 72 hours was nothing to be afraid of.
The President, after a flight over Washington, landed on the South Lawn and walked straight to the balcony of the first floor, where security aides were already stationed a row of American flags.
President, delivering a speech after, said “I just left Walter reed Medical center, it was really something very special. The doctors, the nurses, the first responders, and I learnt so much about Corona-virus”
“And one thing that’s for certain, don’t let it dominate you, don’t be afraid of it” He said.
As at this moment, confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the United States is over 7 million with 210,000 deaths recorded. In-spite of this, President Trump while allaying the fears of the American public said, we have the best medical equipment, we have the best medicines, all developed recently”.
