An executive assistant to Global tech Entrepreneur Fahim Saleh, the founder of ride hailing firm Gokada, has been charged with the gruesome murder of his boss, whose body he mutilated and left inside a high-class Manattan condo.
Disclosing this, NYPD chief of Detectives Rodney Harrison said 21 years old ex-employee Tyrese Devon Haspil, was charged with second-degree murder in the death of 33 years old CEO Saleh. His corpse was discovered Tuesday in the living room of his $2 million Lower East Side apartment. It is believed that Saleh’s unearthing of a financial fraud of about $90,000 masterminded by Haspil was a motivated the killing. Rodney stated.
Though, Saleh fired Haspil after the found out, but made no report of the theft and even offered a plan of repayment of the stolen funds to his assistant as a way out. Some of this bargaining was detailed via text message conversation.
Haspil used a saw he purchased with his credit card to dismember Saleh’s body, according to sources. The tool was left behind in the apartment.
It is still unsure if Haspil was the actual killer, but he is already a major suspect since A Taser prong found on Saleh’s body bore a serial number that also connected Haspil to the murder, sources said.
Saleh was murdered at about 1:45pm on Monday as he exited a private-elevator into his seventh-floor apartment. His cousin discovered his dead body a later, Harrison informed.
