Viewers all over the world have been left in shock and disappointment following what could be best described as a shameful and most embarrassing US presidential debate ever, as argument between the two aspirants snowballed into a moment of contentions, disruptions and abusive exchanges.
A shameful outing saw Trump disrupting his opponent Biden at every interval and totally disregarding the essence of the moderator who looked totally out of control of the whole event. More worrisome were the harsh words that characterized major part of the exchanges between Joe and Trump.
While Joe Biden reminded the president of deficiencies already hitting the American populace in the fight against the Corona-virus pandemic and the faulty approaches the Republican candidate had been engaging, Trump was quick to fire back insisting that his administration had faired excellently well to curtail the virus. In his words “we now only have few people dying and I thought we are doing well in that direction”.
Democratic candidate, Joe Biden, tried to put up a defence in favour of the Obama Care which had formed another basis of argument with the Trump led administration who has vowed to ensure the scheme is eradicated, but this was also met with series of interruptions by Trump on both Biden and the moderator.
Highlight of the night was a chance by Trump to condemn the activities of the “White Supremacists”, but this was ignored by the American President, an action which has not only raised moral questions on his intention, but has sparked mixed reactions from viewers across the globe.
When asked if he would accept defeat even if he lost out of the forthcoming election, Donald Trump stated that this would only premise on an election that is void of manipulations.
Democratic vice Presidential candidate, Kamala Harris, in her reaction, has condemned the action of the president as she believes the refusal of Trump to speak against the White Supremacy would further fuel racism in the country.
