Barely few hours after the sad news of the demise of Nigerian prolific filmmaker, Chico Ejiro, on Friday, actress and video vixen, Cossy Orjiakor, has taken to her Instagram page to call him out for refusing to lend his voice in her defence during her controversial “sex with Dog” scandal which shook the media space in 2002 despite knowing the truth.
The late filmmaker was announced dead on Friday after reportedly suffering from a seizure, however, amidst reactions and tributes pouring in from his fans both home and abroad, Cossy had seized the opportunity to once again clear her name and also hit at the Ejiro for keeping mute at such crucial moment when her world was crashing heavily to the “scandalous Sex with Dog” story making rounds about her.
Cossy Orjiakor’s “Sex for Dog” story came to the fore when Enquirer Magazine, published by Tunde Moshood, alleged the actress to have featured in a porn scene involving sexual activity with a dog. This was denied by Cossy who demanded the Magazine’s publisher to retract the story.
Tunde Moshood, however, reacted by sharing a video which captured the controversial scene. Moshood insisted it was real, labelling Cossy as a pathological liar.
Cossy’s bitterness with Chico Ejiro, however, stems from his silence over the whole issue at that time. According to Cossy, the storm would have been permanently calmed if Ejiro had surfaced to clear the air that the footage was actually culled from a scene in a movie Itohan, which he featured her in.
“Your silence killed me” she lamented while sending her parting message to the late filmmaker.
In her words, “I remember years back. You used to like me… I don’t say no to people. I only give conditions. What changed? What made you keep quiet and watch the world tear me to shreds”?
Cossy Orjiakor alleged further the pains she endured during her ordeal due to the scandal killed her “sweet nature”. She said, “Just a simple yes that the sex with dog story is part of a Nollywood movie and not porn, would have preserved my sweet nature”.
“I left the industry in shame still trying to figure out where I got it wrong” She added.
