The Corona-virus infections in South Africa have wheeled past 50,000 in a worsening development as another 2,594 cases were recorded.
Revealing this on Monday night, the country’s health minister Zweli Mhize said the new recorded cases have now brought the total infections to 50,789.
The minister also informed that 26,099 people have recovered from the virus.
In-spite of government’s measures taken so far to curb the spread of the COVID-19 disease, the infection has continued to ravage many states in the country with the Western Cape remaining the epic center of the outbreak with 33, 568 cases followed by the Eastern cape with 6,341 and Gauteng with 6,258.
