Due to persistent pressure and actionable intelligence, two separate gang leaders of notorious syndicates of bandits terrorizing Katsina State have renounced their disreputable activities and surrendered their arms to the state authorities.
This development was disclosed in a statement by the Police Relations Officer for Katsina State Commissioner of Police, SP Gambo Isah.

The bandits are Sale Turwa, “M”, aged 30 years, and Muhammadu Sani Maidaji, “M”, aged 33 years both of Illella village, Safana LGA of Katsina state.
They are reported to have surrendered to the executive governor of katsina state, Rt. Hon Aminu Bello Masari, the State Police Commissioner, Commander 17 Brigade, Katsina, and Director Department of State Security Services.
According to the Police, the weapons recovered from the bandits are ten (10) AK 47 rifles.
