The Katsina State Police Command has recorded a huge feat in the battle to curb the incessant crime rate in the state as it announces the successful arrest of a notorious bandit, Armed Robber, Kidnapper and cattle rustler.
According to a statement by the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer for the Commissioner of Police, SP Gambo Isah, the suspect, named Abdullahi Ibrahim, alias DANDA, Male and aged 35 years, was apprehended by the Command in collaboration with a local vigilante group on 16/12/2020 at about 08:00hrs.
The suspect who is from Malabo village, Safana LGA of Katsina State, was reported to have been terrorizing residents Safana and Batsari local government of the state.
The statement disclosed that during the course of the investigation, one AK47 rifle and seven (7) rustled cows were recovered in his possession.
“Suspect is assisting the police in our investigation”, the statement disclosed.
Also, the statement reveals another commendable breakthrough with the report of at least 29 victims of human trafficking rescued by the Katsina State Police Command on the 11th of December, 2020 at about 23:00hrs.
The statement stated that among those rescued were twenty-two ( 22) females, five (5) males, and two (2) children.

The traffickers had intended transporting the victims from the southern part of Nigeria to Libya, Algeria and Turkey respectively. Victims were reported to have been intercepted at Unguwar Jummai village, Mai’addua LGA of Katsina state, a border town with the Niger Republic.
