Governor of Ondo State, Nigeria, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, has tested positive for Corona-Virus.
Disclosing this via his verified twitter account, Governor Akeredolu explained that he had been ill and receiving treatment for some days on assumption he had malaria, however, based on advises from his colleagues at the recently held National Executive Council meeting in Abuja, he decided to go for the COVID-19 test which eventually came out positive by 30th of June, 2020.
According to the Governor, “I tested positive, but I am asymptomatic. I am not feeling sick, neither am I feeling odd I anyway”. But my doctors have decided that I should take the normal treatment and self-isolate”.

With this revelation, Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has now joined the list of high profile public officials who have tested positive for COVID-19.
