Napoli has completed the signing of Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen from Lille on a five-year contract.
No financial details were immediately disclosed but report has it that Napoli had agreed to pay an initial 60 million euros ($71.06 million) transfer fee, which could rise to 81 million in performance, related additional considerations.
Victor Osimhen’s astounding performance has seen him scored a total of 18 goals in 38 appearances for the Legue 1 side in all competitions last season before the calling off of the French football tournament due to the outbreak of COVID-19.
The Italian club, Napoli, while confirming the signing, wrote; “SSC Napoli are delighted to announce the signing of Victor Osimhen from Lille on a permanent transfer”.
Osimhen started his youth career at Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos and turned pro shortly after he turned 18 when he joined German outfit Wolfsburg.
He helped Nigeria win the U17 World Cup in 2015, when he finished as the tournament’s top scorer with 10 goals.
