A young man, who identified himself as Kayode Abayomi, has taken to the social media to call out some of his protesting colleagues in Oyo State for collecting a One Million naira bribe offered them by the State Governor in other to sabotage the exercise.
According to Kayode, all protesting youths took their demonstartions to the Oyo State Secretariat, but things took a new twist when he later came to the realization that the entire process had been sold out by some of his colleagues who were given the sum of N1 Million (One Million Naira) by the State Government of Oyo State to thwart the protest.
Among those mentioned included on Ibadan Polytechnic Union President (name not mentioned), and a leaders of the Oyo State National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS (name not mentioned either).
Kayode is however insisting that the money be returned immediately to the State Government as funding for the EndSars protesters through such channel negates what the entire principle guiding the protest stands for in the first place.
Kayode said, “Some members of EndSars (Protesters) insisted that the money should be shared, but I … fought for the voiceless that the money should not be shared”.
He further disclosed that getting the corrupt colleagues to return the said amount was difficult even after he and some of his other comrades had to confront them.
He claimed he was later confronted by some hoodlums who questioned his refusal to want to partake in the sharing, but he is maintaining his ground that the money be returned to the state government.
