The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has vociferated his anger towards the former governor of Lagos State and National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Speaking via released recorded audio, the Ipob leader alleged that the Tinubu is making putting up a strong blackmail attempt by trying to blame him for the high-level violence which almost grounded the city of Lagos following the Lekki toll-gate incident.
Lagos, the economic capital of Nigeria, was hit by a strong wind of violence through the coordinated attack on some investments and properties believed to be linked with Bola Tinubu.
The popular Television station, TVC, The Nations Newspaper, Oriental Hotel and a lot of other investment structures were completely razed in the attack.
Some quarters of the media are of the opinion that Nnamdi Kanu might have instigated his loyalists in the state towards executing the damages. Moreso, it is claimed that a legal report is being filed against the Biafra agitator.
Enraged Kanu did not hide words as he labelled Tinubu “a murderer” who planned the deployment of soldiers to execute the killing of peaceful protesters at Lekki toll-gate. he said, “I made it very clear from the onset that “I do not want violence if you are peaceful, people will be peaceful with you. Nigerians are the ones that called for a revolution.
Referring to a petition filed against him by the British High Commission linking him to the Lagos incident, Kanu screeched, “Can you imagine what these people are saying? This British High Commissioner! saying Igbos are in Lagos destroying properties” Tinubu! you will be dragged into the gutter”.
