The Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Sunday confirmed that a total of 58 new cases were discovered in the country to reach 50,345.
This marks an improvement from the 160 recorded in the previous day.
Plateau state had the highest figure with 18 new confirmed infections. This is followed by Lagos and Katsina with 15 and 10 cases respectively.
All new cases were discovered in 8 states of the country plus the FCT.
So far, a to tal of 50,768 infected patients have been discharged having tested negative to the virus. Sadly, the country has lost a total of 1,113 lives to the pandemic.
