A recent offensive by the ground troops of Sector 3 and Air task Force Operation LAFIYA DOLE has yielded a positive outcome as attacks by rampaging Boko Haram insurgents / Iswap insurgents who attempted to breach Munguno Town in Borno State on Saturday, 13 June 2020 were successfully repelled.
it was reported that 20 Boko Haram / ISWAP fighters were neutralized by the Air Task Force, with 4 of their gun trucks destroyed. Some of the terrorists and their equipment were also captured.
In a press release posted on the official page of the Defence HQ Nigeria, while encouraging the troops to remain resolute and decisive in their ground and air offensives in the theatre, the High Command of the Armed Forces of Nigeria also commended the Land component and Air task Force of Operation LAFIYA DOLE for the “dexterity and professionalism exhibited during this operation”.
